Q: Why should I buy this machine?
A: The MINIGRAPH Series is the newest generation of CNC plasma cutters available on the market. Our goal with the MINIGRAPH is to eliminate all of the common problems with comparable machines on the market.
Most competitors use steel rails and cam followers for the linear motion, whereas the MINIGRAPH uses top quality linear guide ways and slides on all three axis. This means less maintenance and frustration.
The MINIGRAPH uses large, strong, rack and pinion drives while most others machines uses smaller gears which quickly wear away and cause backlash.
The gantry has a motor on each side that drives it along the table. Many others have a motor on just one side, causing the gantry to sway when changing direction.

Q: Is this a kit or complete machine?
A: The MINIGRAPH is a complete machine which has been fully assembled, tested, then broken down and placed in a crate. Some assembly is required when you receive the machine but our easy to follow manual makes it a breeze.

Q: What else do I need to make the machine work?
A: You will need a compatible plasma system along with a 180 degree torch and a CNC interface cable. Companies such as Thermal Dynamics and Hypertherm supply plasma systems with those options and we can help you choose the one that is right for you. If you already have a plasma system and just need a torch and cable we can help you with that as well.
You will also need an air compressor to run the plasma system. Check the plasma systems specifications for air volume and pressure requirements. We also highly recommend the use of an air dryer between the compressor and plasma system.

Q: How thick can it cut?
A: This mostly depends on the plasma system you choose, not the table itself. A regular air plasma system can cut up to 1 inch mild steel, while an expensive multi-gas plasma system can cut up to 3 inches.
The MINIGRAPH is designed to handle a maximum thickness plate of 1/2 inch mild steel. If you require a machine to cut thicker material, we have an alternative series of machines to handle this application.

Q: How fast can it cut?
A: Again, this depends on the plasma system you can use on this machine. Here are some realistic numbers.
14 Gauge Mild Steel - 80-100 inches per minute
10 Gauge Mild Steel - 60-70 inches per minute
1/4” Mild Steel - 60-70 inches per minute
3/8” Mild Steel - 40-50 inches per minute
1/2” Mild Steel - 30-40 inches per minute

Q: I'm not a computer expert, is it hard to use?
A: If you can surf the web and check your e-mail, you can use this machine. The software is very user friendly and when you have a problem, unlimited support is just a toll free phone call away.

Q: How much weight will the table support?
A: The table is designed to hold approximately 600lbs, which is approximately the weight of a 4’ X 4’ sheet of ½ inch mild steel. If you want to cut thicker material, simply remove all the slates and build your own steel frame inside the frame to support the load.

Q: How much is shipping going to cost?
A: Please contact our Customer Service Department, tell us where you are and we will get a freight quote for you.

Q: How soon can a machine be shipped?
A: Depending on our work load, 1 -4 weeks from the time we receive your P.O. and payment.

Q: How long is the warranty?
A: Warranty is for 1 year from the time your receive the machine and warrants all products to be free of defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty dose not cover damage resulting from accident, misuse or shipping.
