KAB Contest winners visit the United States

In May 2014, 28 employees at Koike Aronson Brazil started taking English courses.  The program included level 1 and level 2 courses and concluded this past June.

Koike Aronson management proposed an idea for a contest. The employees who received the highest grades in these two courses, which were then submitted by the university professor, would receive a trip to the United States.  The trip would include a week in Arcade visiting Koike Aronson and seeing local attractions.

Carlos Eduardo, an Engineering Manager, received a 100% in the courses, and he has decided to continue his studies. He did have a head-start on the other employees, however, because he started teaching himself.   Plant Manager Luiz Carlos was next with the highest grades.  Both gentlemen visited Koike Aronson last July too.  It was decided then to choose the next two high-achievers who had not yet visited.

The winners of the contest were Angelica Saurin, a Customer Service Representative who earned a 99%, and Vinicius Brochieri, a Production Control Planner who also earned a 99%.

They had a full week of activities, including an on-site customer service training, website development, purchasing methods, manufacturing planning, and a SAP Production planning module. The activities after hours included hiking and dinner at the Glen Iris Inn at Letchworth State Park. They took a trip to Darien Lake theme park in which they enjoyed exciting roller coaster rides and a thrilling Bungee jump.  They had a relaxing night at Buffalo Canalside with a carriage ride, remote control sailboats, and dinner on the waterfront.   Their visit would not be complete without a trip to Niagara Falls and a ride on the Maid of the Mist. They had dinner and went bowling afterward. They returned to Buffalo to experience the night life of dancing at the Sky Room until 3am, and took a trip to the mall for some shopping. Their last comment was that they want to stay in America!

Our winners left, accompanied by Tauana Pavanelli, a Procurement Manager, this past Sunday. We hope our visitors enjoyed their week here, and we congratulate them on a job well done with their English courses.
