Mechanical Engineer
SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly qualified, driven, energetic, hands-on Mechanical Engineer to take responsibility for the design solutions that meet our customers’ needs. The successful candidate for this position will be able to take a project from the conceptual stage through to completion, including specification, design, documentation, testing, and presenting proposals to managers and clients.
This is a mechanical engineering position primarily and inherently includes continuous engineering support of all existing products including BOM Creation, Drawing Creation, Documentation Release, Continuous Improvement, Cost Reduction and Innovation.
The successful candidate should have knowledge of machine design & mechanical power transmission. Experience with design of weldments and heavy structural design ideal. Must be able to perform and document mechanical calculations, finite element analysis, etc.
Under the general direction of the Manager, Engineering, perform all required engineering tasks. Ensure the use of proper engineering design principles and contribute to reliable and cost effective product. The assignments have general objectives and include contact with the customer. Directs and coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of all products and systems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in either mechanical design, mechanical drafting, or mechanical engineering. Additional work experience in the field preferred, especially with the design & construction of large electromechanical equipment. Experience of 5+ years preferred.

Electrical Engineer
SUMMARY
Seeking an Electrical / Electromechanical Engineer that can provide electrical design and analysis solutions, process development support, and hands-on development work for industrial machinery in the thermal cutting and positioning industry. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree will be prioritized, but Associate’s degree candidates may be considered. Desired skill sets include:
Design of controls for machinery and automation systems
Design of AC/DC and servo motor systems
PLC program design and applications
CNC program design and applications
Experience with CAD (especially AutoCAD Electrical) and Design Vault Systems
Knowledge of Electrical and other industry Standards; UL, NFPA, etc.
Exemplary organizational/documentation skills
Hands-on mechanical aptitude

Field Service Technician II
Starting Pay Range: $60,000+ depending on experience
SUMMARY
The Koike Aronson Inc. associate will play a key role in supporting our customers at their location (in excess of 50% travel) as well as from the company office. Effective communication: both internally and externally and the ability to continue to learn new product lines that are driven by customer demands, is the key to success. As a talented member of the Field Service Team, you will be tasked with installation, troubleshooting, and training of our designed equipment in which they may be performed as a team or individually. Supporting our customers; providing suggestions on improving their processes, reducing downtime, and reporting issues and new sales opportunities to the Technical Service Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Travel can be in excess of 50%.
• Must have drivers license, be able to travel to Canada, & pass drug test.
• Saturday and Sunday work may be required.
• On a daily basis the team members shall handle regular communication with our customers via phone and email as well as traveling to customer locations (if needed) at short notice. The member is expected to support the customer(s) needs which include troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, gas & pneumatic assembles, and components.
• Team members need to be able to read various styles and layouts of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings which are produced by Koike Aronson Engineering and/or from vendors supplied drawings and information.
• Embracing new designs and concepts that are driven by customer demands is essential to our business. This entails continuing learning new products such as Machine Motion Controllers, Servo & VFD Drive Systems, Gas Delivery Systems, Mechanical Designs, and Vendor Supplied Components such as thermal cutting products, welding products, mechanical gear assemblies, and other supplied components.
• Utilization of our Material Requirement Planning system (MRP) is a key resource in supporting our products and customers’ demands. This is the backbone of our business and how we structure our machine builds, place orders, track communication with customers, etc. Team Members need to be proficient in areas of our MRP Software that is applicable to the Field Service Technician position. Training will be provided as there are continual improvements to the MRP system.
• Must possess strong software implantation & utilization skills as our products are driven by various software platforms produced by Koike Aronson Engineering, Vendor Supplied Components, or other OEM systems that we integrate. Know various Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel that we use daily. Technicians expected to take initiative to learn software by reading manuals, OJT, and in-house training.
• Installation, training, support, and sales calls at customers’ facilities are a large portion of being a Field Service Technician. This entails installing & testing thermal cutting equipment, weld positioning equipment, training end users on utilization of our manufactured equipment & products, and servicing said equipment such as performing troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, repairs, etc.
• Interdepartmental communication skills, working with fellow coworkers, sharing various skill sets acquired from experience, creating Field Service Bulletins (FSB), documenting call logs in the MRP, notifying potential issues and concerns, and documentation control applicable to the Field Service Technician position.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of Associates Degree (A.A.S.) in electromechanical technology combined with five or more years related work experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Work experience must consist of electrical and mechanical assembly or service background. Highly skilled millwright or machinery maintenance work may be acceptable. Position requires a high degree of mechanical/electrical and product knowledge with related practical work experience.

Electronic Technician
Starting Pay Range: $24-$30 Per Hour depending on experience
Yearly Profit Share Plan. Paid out the last 4 out of 5 years, including 22% on base and overtime wages in 2024 and 2025.
Performance evaluations are completed every 90 days and eligible for a pay increase based on performance at 90, 180, 270. The current maximum is $32.50/hour.

Applies knowledge of electrical theory, principles of electrical circuitry, electrical testing procedures, engineering mathematics, physics, and related educational training to lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic devices such as drives, controls, and circuitry.

Welder

SUMMARY

Sets up weldments according to blueprint specifications. May place and align jigs and fixtures to hold parts and mount work piece onto welding positioner. May position c-clamps, bar clamps, install shims, wedges, and spacers to align weldments in preparation for welding. Applies state-of-the-art welding technology to weld together metal fabricated assemblies and subassemblies in accordance with blueprint specifications. Welding methods may include arc, shielded arc, flux core gas shielded, MIG and/or TIG weld processes.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School graduate with minimum of 2-year vocational school education with major concentration in the field ofwelding technology. Welding training inaccordance with AWS 14.1 welding code (certification desirable) combined with 3-5 years related experience and/or training. Must possess knowledge of blueprint reading.

Machine Builder

Fits and aligns bearings and shafts, drive transmissions, belts and pulleys, chains and sprockets, and drive gearing including housings. Assembles proprietary machines verify functionality and conformance to customer specifications. When called upon to do so the incumbent utilizes acquired cross-functional training skills to assist and reduce the workload demands of other critical departments. Rebuilds or repairs customer equipment which has been returned for rework as a result of breakdown.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Vocational training, two to three years of actual experience, blue print reading, shop mathematics, machine construction and design, and the use of shop measuring instruments.

The self-motivated candidate performs machine work on CNC Milling, Drilling, Boring Machines and/or CNC lathes. Must be able to set machine up and run proficiently upon completed training. Be able to edit new and existing programs as needed and actively contribute to quality initiatives to increase productivity and gain efficiencies. Candidate must be able to read blue prints, micrometer, calipers and other standard measuring equipment.

Minimum of two-year related trade school training and three to five years of job-related experience.
