How to choose a benchtop welding positioner
Capacity and center of gravity. Size by the weight and center of gravity of your heaviest workpiece plus fixturing — not by table diameter. Tilt or flat turntable. A tilting positioner like the LD4 rotates and angles the workpiece for access a flat turntable can't offer; a self-locking worm gear should hold the chosen angle without drift under load.
Controls and accessories. Hands-free operation matters — look for a foot switch so both hands stay on the torch, and check chuck compatibility if you weld pipe and flanges.
