Determining The Right Girth Welder

12-20 ft. Tank Diameter
For welding tanks between 12 to 20 ft. in diameter, the AGW-LW is the ideal solution. This lightweight edition of our AGW is designed to accommodate smaller tank sizes and thinner wall diameters down to 3/16”. This model’s speed helps drastically improve efficiency, delivering up to 40% faster weld times compared to traditional tank welding methods.
20+ ft. Tank Diameter
For welding tanks of 20 ft. in diameter or greater, the AGW-I or AGW-II will be the machine for the job. The AGW-I model offers single-sided operation, while the AGW-II provides greater versatility with dual-sided operation. These heavy-duty AGWs can handle plates up to 1 ¾” thick at welding speeds as low as 4” per minute to as quick as 105” per minute.
